Training course “Prosecutor’s Protection of Environment”

On June 11, 2021, the training course “Prosecutor’s Protection of Environment” was completed at the Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine.

Protecting the environment is one of the most important challenges that humanity has to face today. Therefore, it is important to develop legal instruments comprehensively in the field of environmental protection.

Participants of the training course considered a number of issues, including: criminal-legal qualification of environmental crimes, separation of criminally punishable acts from administrative offenses, features of qualification of criminal crimes against the environment, separation from related crimes, features of investigative (criminal) proceeding regarding crimes against the environment.

The following trainings were conducted within the course “Prosecutor’s Protection of Environment”:

“Activities of the prosecutor in the field of environmental protection”,

“Implementation by the prosecutor of procedural guidance in criminal proceedings on criminal crimes against the environment”,

“Representation by the prosecutor of the interests of the state in court”,

“Supporting public prosecution in criminal proceedings concerning criminal crimes in the ecological sphere”.
