On September 15, 2021, a one-day training discussion was held for prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine “Personal reputation as an intangible resource for the prosecutor.”
The training was conducted in partnership with the NGO “Attorney of the Future” with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
The purpose of this training was to help prosecutors with development of the skills to work with their own reputation as their social capital and intangible resources to: achieve better professional results (for example, during procedural supervision or when presenting public charges in court);
changes in the public perception of the prosecutor’s office and public expectations;
strengthening one’s own procedural independence to protect against political and other influence.
The training program included work in the following blocks:
- Reputation for an employee of the prosecutor’s office – how it works and spoils;
- Elaboration on real cases of the mechanism of the analysis of reputation and actual actions for its improvement;
- Upholding and preserving the reputation in the unfriendly information field;
- Working on real cases of a situation that requires work with reputation.

The program’s aim is the creation of a single legal community that shares the values of fair justice, the leadership of this community in the implementation of justice reform, and thus contributes to the rule of law, protection of human rights and the achievement of fair justice.
