On September 28, 2022, Olesya Otradnova, Director of the Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine, and Vladyslava Batyrgareeva, Director of the Аcademician Stashis Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Ms. Batyrgareeva emphasized that currently, in the conditions of full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation, the team of the scientific research institute continues active analytical activities regarding new challenges that are currently arising in criminal law in connection with the aggression of the Russian Federation: studying the problems of the qualification of missile attacks, genocide, collaborative activities, etc.
Ms. Otradnova stated, that now prosecutors are one of those, who first arrive at the scene of shelling, communicate with victims of war crimes, and record the necessary evidence. And, of course, the qualification of war crimes and war-related crimes raises many practical questions that require scientific justification. There is no doubt that the Аcademician Stashis Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine will be useful during the process of preparing and organization of trainings for prosecutors.
Glory to Ukraine!
