September 29-30, 2020, the Prosecutor`s Training Center of Ukraine hosted online trainings for of juvenile departments officers of regional prosecutor’s offices on the topic: “Features of the organization of procedural guidance and support of public prosecution in criminal proceedings in the field of child protection. Practical preparation aspects for the appointment of forensic examinations”.

The purpose of the training was to boost the professional competence of prosecutors on the peculiarities of the organization of procedural guidance and support of public prosecution in criminal proceedings in the field of child protection.

During the two-day training, participants were taught to give consistent and meaningful instructions to investigators during the pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings in the field of child protection; analyzed the peculiarities of the appointment of forensic examinations in criminal proceedings in the field of child protection and improved the practical skills of prosecutors to carry out their professional responsibilities for the implementation of procedural guidance in criminal proceedings in the field of child protection, which will relevance and admissibility of evidence in support of public prosecution in court.

Training moderators were:

Lesia Europina and Liudmyla Hrytsaenko, consultants of the department of methodological support for the training of prosecutors and trainers of the Prosecutor`s Training Center of Ukraine.

Trainers were:

Yuliia Usenko, head of the department for the Protection of Children’s Interests and Counteraction to Violence of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Alina Saprykina, prosecutor of the department for the Protection of Children’s Interests and Counteraction to Violence of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Training experts: Roman Pasko, head of the laboratory of engineering and technical research and Olga Lukova, head of the laboratory of economic research of Research Institute of Forensic Science of Kyiv.
