Signing a memorandum with the NORLAU Probation Project

On November 18, 2020, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine and the NORLAU Project “Supporting Judicial Reform in Ukraine through the full-scale implementation of probation in Ukraine.”

NORLAU Project manager Siri Fjørtoft, probation expert Artem Babak, head of the Prosecutor’s Office Bjørn Larsen and head of the Probation Department in Norway Geir Jensen arrived at the Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine to sign the memorandum.

The Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine was represented by the director Olesia Otradnova, head of the External Relations Department Anastasiia Markelova and consultant of the Analytical Training Department for Prosecutors Lyudmyla Hrytsayenko.

The participants of the meeting outlined the prospects of bilateral cooperation for professional training and continuing education of prosecutors in Ukraine in order to improve their skills in the field of probation and the use of alternative punishments.
