On March 26, 2021, the Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine hosted a discussion on “How to communicate the performance of the justice system: cases related to armed conflict” moderated by Larysa Denysenko.
The discussion was attended by Deputy Prosecutor General Günduz Mamedov, Head of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Igor Ponochovny, representatives of the prosecutor’s office, human rights activists, the media and the judiciary.
Taking into consideration the risks and Russia’s active measures on information warfare, constant communication of the results of the prosecutor’s office’s work on armed conflict cases and the building and strengthening of a professional institutional reputation are of particular importance.
The participants analyzed the reasons for the lack of communication on particular cases.
Günduz Mamedov noted that the establishment of communication policy is comprehensive, as it is designed to establish public confidence in the prosecutor’s office and build a positive reputation.
