On July 1, 2021, the director of the Prosecutor’s Training Center of Ukraine – Olesia Otradnova – paid a working visit to the Republic of Estonia.
As part of the Ukrainian delegation, Olesia Otradnova met with the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology of Estonia – Andres Sutt and the Speaker of the Estonian Parliament – Riigikogu – Jüri Ratas.
During the meeting with the Minister of Enterprise and Information Technology of Estonia, the issues of digitalization of processes and services of the prosecutor’s office in both countries were discussed and an exchange of experience was agreed. State Prosecutor – Rauno Kiris and Adviser to the Prosecutor General of Estonia – Kati Tee presented to the Ukrainian delegation the process of digitization of criminal proceedings in Estonia.
Currently, the public trust issues with the digitalization process is relevant for both countries. Therefore, the parties exchanged views on how to change public opinion and increase the demand for electronic services in order to strengthen their integration in all areas.
As a result of the meeting with the Speaker of the Estonian Parliament – Riigikogu – Jüri Ratas, the issues of international cooperation development and reforms support were discussed, and attention was paid to the issues of cybersecurity and the development of digitalization.
